Sequel to the recent grading and upgrading of some Traditional Rulers by the State Executive Council, the Executive Governor of Kogi state, His Excellency, Alh.Yahaya Bello has been extolled by Ebira Solidarity Group (ESG) for deeming it fit to honor the wish of the people across the state through their various traditional heads some whose grading/upgrading are due for decades and we’re not considered.
The group gave the commendation on behalf of the affected traditional rulers from Kogi Central during a courtesy visit to the Special Adviser to the Governor in charge of Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr. (Dr.) Abubakar Sadiku Ohere in his office in the state capital, Lokoja on Wednesday.
The Secretary General of the Group, Alh. Isyaka Omeiza Azeez in a mission statement, said the decision of His Excellency is laudable and timely as it has given adequate sense of belonging and accommodated the yearning interest of the people.
The group equally commended Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere for his thoughtful, effective and just advisory role to the state government which translated into the laudable decision.
Responding, Engr. Ohere thanked the group for appreciating this laudable achievement of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello. He described the Governor as a leader with strong “political will” to address all manner of injustice.
He equally appreciated HRM Dr. Ado Ibrahim, CON, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland for his exemplary leadership quality.
Engr. Ohere congratulated all the graded/upgraded traditional rulers across the state and urged them to rule with the fear of God to attract peace, love and tranquility to their various domains.
