MONARCH EXTOLS GOV. BELLO OVER REFORMS IN TRADITIONAL INSTITUTION

The Olu of Okeri has extolled the Executive Governor Of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh Yahaya Bello over the reforms in the traditional institutions and improved welfare for the royal fathers in the state.

The monarch HRH Chief Julius Jimoh stated this today during a courtesy visit by Royal Fathers and Stakeholders from Yagba West led by the S.A Political Matters, Hon. Pius Kolawole to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affair, Engr. (Dr.) Abubakar S. Ohere.

According to the monarch, Governor Yahaya Bello has demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that, he can be trusted. His commitment to the culture of transparency and due process especially as it affects the traditional institutions largely, accounted for the peace we are enjoying today in our various communities. He told the Special Adviser that his community is happy with the Governor over the recent upgrade which he is one of the beneficiaries.

Also speaking, a former commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. (Barr.) Bamidele Suru said Gov. Bello is a Messiah who is addressing decades of marginalization and injustice in the state. According to him, his people has found respite in the administration of Governor Bello for answering their age long agitations, a dream they couldn’t actualise under the previous administration including the one he served as a cabinet member.

Similarly a high powered delegation Eyire Clan from Okene LGA led by General Yussuff Abubakar Amuda was also at the ministry to appreciate His Excellency for upgrading the Ohi Opisa of Eyire, HRH Mall. Dirisu Enesi Okeji and Ohi Oviza of Obehira, HRH Alh. Yisa Enebe Ahmed both to 2nd Class and grading of Otaru Idu of Eyire, HRH Dr. M. Jimoh Bello to 3rd Class.

The Youruba Community in Lokoja was not left out as their delegation was led by the newly graded Oba of Yoruba in Lokoja, HRH Alh. Oke Owoniboy to appreciate the governor for accommodating their yearnings and giving adequate sense of belonging to other tribes residential in Kogi State.

Responding, the Special Adviser, Engr Ohere thanked God Almighty for blessing the state with a an exemplary leader like Governor Bello, and commended his guests for appreciating the governor’s political will, fairness and focused policies aimed at making our state a great one. He urged the monarch to rule their various domains with the fear of God as only with that will peace, love harmony and development thrive.
