Today, EbiraView Media took a tour of the entire stretch of the Agasa-Upogoro-Esomi Road. We were impressed by the work progress on the road by the state govt.
Some of the buildings marked for demolition to pave way for the road construction for which the owners have been openly compensated are now being demolished by Ahad Construction company around the Upogoro axis of the road.
Our monitoring team also noticed the construction of standard drainages and culverts across the stretch while excavation of huge volume of laterites soil to fill up the newly graded sections was also noticed ahead of Upogoro new layout.
It is hoped that the project will be completed in no distant time if the current work tempo is sustained by the state government. Once completed, the road is expected to serve as a bypass mostly for heavy duty trucks plying South-West and South Eastern states through Okene township.
