Three Years in Office: Prince Aliyu Mustapha Akaaba’s Scorecard is Outstanding – Hon Abbas A. A.

Abbas , the Chief of staff has said that, the Prince Aliyu Mustapha Akaaba’s administration under the leadership of Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello has been outstanding.According to the Chief of staff, the young Prince assumed leadership at a time when the LGA was at its all-time low and at a time when people has lost confidence in the LGA’s government.Hon Abbas said ” He began his journey to regain the confidence of his people by making security a top choice and tackling it headlong. Our roads were heavily infested with robbers and other criminals that no day goes by without a new sad story from road users. Prince Aliyu tackled these issues by strengthening various security outfits in the LGA which has resulted in the serene and peaceful atmosphere in the LGA today “.He disclosed that Prince Aliyu Mustapha Akaaba has empowered staff and youths of the LGA through his various human development and empowerment schemes. He has distributed over 300 mechanised farm equipment and over 600 brand new motorcycles to tackle unemployment while enhancing security.Prince Aliyu Mustapha Akaaba has also created an enabling environment for complete political inclusion by involving opposition figures in all his empowerment schemes and also permitted them to use public facilities for their political events.Hon Abbas also disclosed that, the Prince Aka’aba led administration has invested heavily in school and health infrastructure.” Our administration has completed massive construction and renovation of schools and health care facilities across Ajaokuta LGA. The construction of the Maternity Health Center in Ebiya with state-of-the-art equipment and the construction of classroom blocks and Labs in Emi Woro and other communities in the LGA are few instances of our determination to grow our educational system “.The Chief of staff noted as a major landmark achievement of Prince Aliyu Mustapha Akaaba , the massive success in tackling the scourge of water scarcity across the LGA by drilling new boreholes and motorized water projects like the solar powered motorized boreholes in Apanko and Upake respectively.
Rehabilitation of old boreholes to cultivate maintenance culture has since become normal to the administration. Other achievements according to Hon Abbas includes but not limited to Evacuation of Achagana refuse dump to give the LGA capital a new look,rehabilitation of feeder roads like the road leading to the residence of Late General salihu ibrahim, grading of Ebiya-Epiri road, upgrading certain traditional rulers, provision of brand new siena vehicle for traditional rulers, laying foundation of new secretariat complex, renovation of police station, provision of jeep to army formation, provision of 406 Peugeot to state security service in charge of Ajaokuta.Hon Abbas concluded that ” Prince Aka’aba’s administration has also planned and executed the electrification of Ebiya and Eganyi districts, Gidan Doya, and Emi Woro, these communities are now enjoying an average of 22 hours of power supply on a daily basis”, he said.In as much as I believe that there is more to be done, I can confidently say that our scorecard is both impressive and outstanding as we hope to achieve more in the coming years_ “Yusuf Abubakar Idogu
